Information we collect
When you visit this website, we collect basic server-side visit information to keep the site useful, secure and measurable. This may include page viewed, referral source, approximate location, browser language, timezone, screen size, device context and request metadata supplied by Cloudflare.
Approximate location may be derived from hosting-provider request data, such as country, region or city. We do not intentionally store raw IP addresses for normal website logging; where server-side visit capture is enabled, IP addresses are hashed before storage or webhook forwarding.
When you contact The Velvet Harvest, submit a hospitality or gifting enquiry, or join the Tasting Circle, we may receive information such as your name, email address, city or region, organisation or customer type, venue type, estimated volume, occasion, quantity, timeline, budget range, product interests, preferred experiences, flavour memories, feedback and the contents of your enquiry.
Cookies and basic visitor information
The website uses first-party cookies and browser storage to remember your cookie preference. Essential visit capture runs without analytics cookies and records basic page and request context. If you allow analytics cookies, we may also use a pseudonymous visitor ID and session ID to understand repeat visits and product interest.
For essential capture, the website may send page path, page title, referral source, UTM campaign parameters, browser language, timezone, viewport size, screen size and selected cookie consent status. Visitor ID and session ID are only used when analytics cookies are allowed.
Cloudflare may also provide request information to the server, including IP address, user agent, referrer, accept-language header and approximate country, region, city, postal code, timezone, continent and region code where available. The server hashes the IP address before storage or webhook forwarding; the raw IP address is not intentionally retained for normal website analytics.
How we use information
Analytics information helps us understand which products, collections, campaigns and hospitality or gifting pathways are most useful to visitors. Enquiry and Tasting Circle information is used to respond to requests, recommend products or sample pathways, develop future product lines, invite people to tastings or events, provide launch offers where consent has been given, and manage commercial relationships.
Third-party services
Website hosting, analytics, email marketing, payment, e-commerce and form providers may process information under their own privacy terms when those services are used.
Your choices
The website respects browser Do Not Track signals for its own visitor capture script.
